Kalahari

  • Excellent tracking conditions in red Kalahari sand

  • Ideal for Lion, Buffalo, and selected Plains Game

  • Vast, wild, and unique African landscape

  • True tracking and walk-and-stalk hunting experience

The Kalahari is a vast semi-arid sandy savanna, known for its red sand dunes, camelthorn trees, and wide open spaces. This unique landscape creates a truly authentic African hunting experience and is especially well known for tracking animals on foot through the sand. The sandy soil allows hunters and trackers to follow fresh tracks with precision, making tracking and stalking one of the most exciting and rewarding hunting methods the Kalahari has to offer.

Despite its semi-arid nature, the Kalahari supports a surprising abundance of wildlife, both in numbers and species, thanks to its mix of grasses, shrubs, and camelthorn tree savannas. The area is particularly well known for Lion hunting, as well as Buffalo and selected Plains Game species, all hunted in vast, open, and truly wild surroundings.

Hunting in the Kalahari is a very different experience compared to other areas — it is quieter, more traditional, and heavily focused on tracking and stalking animals on foot. For many hunters, this is what they imagine when they dream of hunting in Africa: red sand underfoot, fresh tracks in the morning light, and the thrill of tracking your trophy through the vast African landscape.

The Kalahari offers a raw and unforgettable hunting experience and remains one of Africa’s most unique safari destinations.
